I think it’s awesome that our group has decided to stay together and make another trip. In Peru during Leading the Way 06 we learned so much about how to work as a blind and sighted team. Though we were all from different states and different backgrounds we molded together to form one of the greatest working teams I have ever been a part of.
After I returned from Peru I started at the University Of North Texas where I found time to learn technical climbing at our on-campus gym. I often found myself going between classes and homework. It seems that I have gained a new passion for outdoor adventure sports. I think it will be great to apply everything I’ve learned this year to the test on Mt. Kilimanjaro.
