Runner, dreamer, writer, listener, observer.
These five simple words seem to describe who I would like to think I am. Rather, who I believe I have transformed into over the past couple of years- in short, welcome to my life. I am currently a sophomore living in Atlanta, Georgia. Admittedly, Atlanta must be one of the strangest places to have developed a strong inclination towards everything outdoors. Despite the urban setting I live in, however, when given a nalgene and some trails to explore, I find myself utterly content.
This past summer, Global Explorers presented me with the opportunity of a lifetime- trekking through the Andes with both blind and sighted students. This trek left me with countless memories and a desire to experience more of the world. Thus, I return, along with my fellow trekkers, to venture up the slopes of Kilimanjaro. I feel fortunate to be able to participate in another trek and cannot wait until June rolls around!
