Tom has the drive of an entrepreneur, the curiosity of a child, the passion of a Notre Dame fan, and the good judgment of an Eagle Scout. He credits that unique set of characteristics - all of which he knows well from first-hand experience - as the reason he has been able to survive, and sometimes succeed throughout his 10-plus years in the marketing industry. Tom has been recognized for his efforts leading award-winning advertising campaigns, crafting groundbreaking marketing initiatives, and launching new products for a number of prestigious companies and organizations, including Kellogg’s, Reebok, and the U.S. Postal Service. More recently, Tom helped guide the re-launch of the Peace Corps brand with a public service campaign that won a Gold EFFIE Award and contributed to a 30-year-high in the number of Peace Corps volunteers.
A true global marketer, Tom has extensive experience working abroad and managing international marketing campaigns. His work and his adventurous spirit have taken him to some of the far corners of the world. Tom is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a veteran of the Leo Burnett Company; however, he claims that his best training for the marketing world came from his parents who taught him to respect and celebrate the human connection in all aspects of his work.
Tom currently resides in Chicago with his son Coleman and his wife Cindy. He is the Director of Account Management for Stone Ward, an advertising and marketing agency dedicated to building good.
