Leading the Way: Peruvian Highlands
On the Leading the Way Peruvian Highlands expedition, you will experience Quechua culture in the magical city of Cusco and the breathtaking Sacred Valley, then spend the next five days hiking through spectacular mountain vistas and ancient Inca ruins. Your final stop? The famous citadel of Machu Picchu. Applications for our summer 2012 expedition are due Friday, November 18.

Encounter this mysterious sanctuary in a powerful way - on a trek with blind, visually impaired and sighted teammates. The Peruvian highlands are an ideal landscape to experience the power of a determined human spirit and to challenge yourself as a leader. You’ll spend the first 3 days experiencing culture in the magical city of Cusco and the breathtaking Sacred Valley. We’ll spend the next 5 days hiking through spectacular mountain vistas and ancient Inca ruins. Our final stop will be the famous citadel of Machu Picchu.

Price: $3,510 + Airfare to/from Lima, Peru | Scholarships are available!
Price includes all spring preparatory retreat expenses, including airfare to/from Denver, CO, and all other costs associated with expedition.
2012 Leading the Way Program Scholarship Information: Scholarships are available, including at least two full scholarships for Leading the Way participants from the Pacific Northwest. We will send you additional scholarship details upon receipt of your application.
