Learning AFAR Houston 2011

Houston K-12 students, educators, schools and families as well as Schlumberger/M-I SWACO and Pearson employees are invited to join us in discovering what it means to be a responsible global citizen. It all starts by reading a book. In participation with the We Give Books campaign, with each book read, a book is donated to libraries in sister communities in the Peruvian Amazon. A group of Learning AFAR Houston High School Ambassadors will visit these communities during the summer of 2011 to deliver the donated books and participate in a life-changing, cross-cultural exchange led Global Explorers as a part of its Learning Afar Program.
