Join Erik Weihenmayer and other cast members for the Boulder premiere of the award-winning documentary film called Blindsight. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayas, Blindsight follows the gripping adventure of six Tibetan teenagers who set out to climb the 23,000 foot Lhakpa Ri on the north side of Mount Everest. A dangerous journey soon becomes a seemingly impossible challenge made all the more remarkable by the fact that the teenagers are blind. The resulting 3-week journey is beyond anything any of them could have predicted. The film has won audience awards for Best Film and Best Documentary at the Berlin, AFI and Palm Spring films festivals. Proceeds will benefit Global Explorers’ Leading the Way Programs which serve blind and sighted high school and college students as well as Braille without Borders. Weihenmayer will attend the June 10th premiere and VIP event.
